An original Cold War-era Canadian Army leather belt, clearly date-marked 1951 and preserved in remarkably clean condition for its age.

Constructed from brown leather with a solid brass-toned buckle, this is proper old-school Canadian military kit from the opening years of the Cold War.

The interior retains its original period markings, including the 1951 date, size 38, and Canadian military markings. Pulled straight from a full box of old brought-back military surplus that has been sitting unopened since the 1950s. The leather remains exceptionally presentable, with the kind of honest storage and age-related character you want to see on an original piece—not something artificially distressed to look the part.

For a belt made when Louis St. Laurent was Prime Minister, NATO was barely two years old, and Canadian troops were serving in Korea, it has held up rather well.

Whether you’re putting together a period Canadian Army display or collecting early Cold War militaria, this is a fantastic survivor.

Just the real thing—apparently waiting since the 50's for someone to finally open the box. What you see is what you get. One of a few I will be selling, but the pics are of the one being sent. Please refer closely to the photos for the exact condition of the item you will receive.
